I remember when my grandma bought this little flower holder bicycle and it was shiny and new. Now... it's not so shiny anymore. However, that doesn't mean it lost any character. Over the years, being outside in the rain caused this little bike to get super rusted... but I like it better that way. It stands out better in every photo I took of it, no matter where I put it. In case anyone was concerned, my tetanus shots are up to date so I was perfectly safe moving this rusted mess.

This here is my best friend who is once again making an appearance on my website. She just happens to be super photogenic and enjoys me taking her picture. I made her go on a train with a lot of spider-webs for this picture so... for both of our sake, I hope you enjoy this picture!
I finally got to go to the beautiful place called Port Stanley. I live for places that can be used for different types of photography. This was taken from the pier and I love the pops of blue and green. I want to go back to Port Stanley so bad and experience some of the other options it has to offer. I had a blast!
As fun as this picture was to shoot, I was scared for my life. I had never participated in the lighting of fireworks before... let alone right in my own backyard! You never know what could happen when playing with fireworks and having burning hot sparks fly everywhere at all different heights so I was a little spooked. However, despite my fear of potentially setting my yard on fire, it was a fun experience and a great photo opportunity!
I hope everyone had a great Victoria Day weekend! :) Short depth of field pictures are my favourite pictures to take. I love having such a crisp focus and a blurry background. The river is such a beautiful place to be during the spring season because everything is in bloom and it all looks beautiful. I hope everyone gets the chance to take a nice walk down the river and enjoy all that spring has to offer! Maybe even stop and smell the roses. ;)
I have finally spiced up this blog with a picture that is more "abstract-like" rather than my usual portrait or landscape. I'm going to be honest here, I was sick and this sparkly leaf has always been something I admired from the comfort of my own bed. I love the way the light from my salt lamp shines on every fleck of glitter to create some awesome bokeh!
It's finally May... thankfully this means we're one month closer to summer time! For innocent, hyper, crazy little toddlers like Hudson here, summer means lots of sweets and fun treats! More importantly, it means lots of smiles! He was very happy to be going on a long walk while enjoying a sweet Push Pop!
This coast guard ship has always been something I admired. However, I've only seen it from a distance. Compared to the other ships that pass along the river, this one seems so small....until you get up close. This ship is HUGE! It wasn't until tonight that I got to see this ship up close. If this one seems so big up close, I can only imagine the real size of the ones that sail across the river daily!
P.S. You will NEVER catch me on one of these things. I hope everyone had an amazing Easter weekend! :) I really enjoy this picture for two reasons. The first is because I really like the contrast between light and dark with the sky and the trees & canon. It kind of creates a story of history with the setting sun on the dim, dark canon used at a time of war. Pictures that tell a story are truly fantastic! My second reason for liking this picture is simply because I shot a picture of a canon.... with a Canon (camera). No? Not funny? Alright.
This ice cream shop is so fun and colourful, that most people would normally just gravitate to looking at the colours or the actual ice cream itself. I however, saw beyond all the fun colours and tasty ice cream to see the little details in the chairs. These chairs all have heart-shaped backrests, which made me fall ever more in love with this little shop. The crisp focus and beautiful lighting made this picture equally as nice to look at as the ice cream, in my opinion... I guess it depends on who you ask.
